Ah, seaside holidays, vanilla ice cream cones and sandcastles...! Unforgettable memories with the scents of childhood and sunscreen, which we so enjoyed revisiting every year.
Under the green and blue striped parasol whose long fringes dance above my head, lulled by the surf and the laughter of our towel neighbors, I doze off in the torpor of the sun. The sea breeze that tempers this scorching summer afternoon caresses and refreshes me. Mom flicks through a magazine. How to choose the right swimsuit? " I can read on the cover. My father, a small black dot on the turquoise expanse, clinging to the yellow buoy that limits the swimming area, proudly waves to me. My little brother goes back and forth with his bucket in the hope of filling the moat of his castle with water to prevent the intrusion of potential enemies! White sails, barely inflated, cross the blue horizon, tranquil. Time passes slowly... without schedules or constraints.
The holidays are here and everyone is enjoying this first day relaxed: the salty, iodized air is already producing its benefits for our bodies!
But, little by little, the sun sinks on the horizon, setting the sky ablaze with a thousand shades of red and orange. We watch it disappear into the waves while we gather towels, parasols, shovels and buckets filled with shells, precious witnesses of these moments of carefree happiness with, in addition, that unique taste of salt on the lips!
Tomorrow we'll be back since our campsite is by the sea! No need to take the car, we go directly from our bungalow to the beach... absolute luxury!
And we'll go canoeing as a family. Dad promised to buy us masks so we can explore the ocean floor...and we'll have another incredible day!
The way back is short, just a few steps below les pins fragrant where, when the sun sets, the night is filled with the haunting song of crickets which gradually replaces that of cicadas eager for light. Holidaymakers enjoy the mildness of the evening and, near the tents, caravans and motorhomes that line the path, you can hear all the languages spoken. It's fantastic! We love the seaside campsite !
