The Valencian Community, the benchmark destination to choose from all year round.

The Valencian Community is a Spanish region located to the east of the Iberian Peninsula, on the Mediterranean coast.

With its mild and pleasant climate throughout the year (annual temperatures in the region are above 18 ° C with more than 300 days of sunshine per year) and low rainfall (mainly in spring and autumn), the Valencian Community is a benchmark tourist destination in Spain and Europe.

One of its main attractions is the beach. Most of the beaches on the Valencian coast are large stretches of fine golden sand, ideal for strolling or swimming in its calm waters.

But we also find, especially in the province of Alicante, many coves rocheuses, especially El Portet (Moraira), La Granadella and El Ámbolo (both located in the town of Jávea). Access is not always easy, but your efforts will pay off as you will be enjoying the Mediterranean in its purest form.

In addition to his beaches, this Spanish region has a particular geography, characterized by the presence of mountainous sites a few kilometers from the sea. So you can explore several natural parks and mountain areas, perfect for enjoying nature, rural tourism and interesting activities such as hiking, bird watching, rock climbing and rafting.

En Camping car or by car, the diversity of this region of Valencia makes it a perfect destination to visit at any time of the year thanks to its climate and natural landscapes, staying in first-class campsites. You will of course find space, comfort, and a variety of facilities and services.

L'Exquisit Mediterrani, a unique gastronomic experience

Valencian gastronomy is one of the best examples of the Mediterranean diet, declared Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.

Among the most famous dishes of the region of Valencia are Paella, Fideuà, L'Esgarraet, baked rice, Riz "a banda" with garlic and pepper. Valencian sweets are also very famous, including Coca de Llanda, Arnadí, Panquemao, sweet potato cakes and Rosegones.

In addition, these typical dishes are best served with wines and Cavas from the region, as well as traditional liqueurs such as Mistela (rice liquor) and Herbero (herbal liqueur).

Among the most remarkable local products used in Valencian gastronomy we can mention:

- Citrus fruits. Valencia is a land of oranges. Valencia oranges are part of the Protected Geographical Indication “Citrus from Valencia”, which also includes mandarins and lemons. And, of course, many Valencian dishes and drinks include oranges as one of their main ingredients.

- Olive oil. Thanks to its climatic conditions, the Valencian Community produces high quality virgin olive oil, particularly in the regions of Utiel and Requena or in the Ayora valley. Olive oil from this area is characterized by its balance between fruity and bitter.

- Rice. Rice is the ingredient in one of the most famous Valencian dishes: Paella. However, in the region of Valencia, rice dishes of all kinds are eaten, prepared with products from the garden and from the sea. In addition, the Albufera, a curious natural site near the city of Valencia, is the one of the most important rice-producing regions in Spain, where some indigenous varieties of rice are grown.

Discover a historical and cultural heritage.

The Valencian Community has three cities or provincial capitals Castellón, Valencia and Alicante which offer a wide range of cultural and leisure activities.

Valencia is the third most populous city in Spain. Elegant and discreet, it has many attractions for its visitors: its tourist offer includes historical monuments, museums, parks, restaurants, beaches and leisure areas. The most important monuments in Valencia include the Central Market, the Cathedral, the Lonja de La Seda (Silk Exchange) and the City of Arts and Sciences, a large cultural complex that stretches along the old bed from the Turia river and which is particularly striking for its futuristic architecture.

Castellón is located in the north of the Valencian Community. Although it is not a particularly touristic town, it is surprisingly proche from some of the most famous towns of the Costa del Azahar, notably Peñíscola, Oropesa del Mar and Benicàssim. Very close to Castellón is the natural and marine reserve of the Columbretes Islands, a small volcanic archipelago located just 30 miles from the coast.

Alicante is a city that has its own identity and is known for its beaches and gastronomy. Among the highlights of this city in the south of Valencia is the imposing Castle of Santa Barbara, which crowns the city and offers beautiful views of the harbor and the promenade where you can quietly enjoy the terraces and the sea breeze.

In addition to its three capitals, the region of Valencia has many cities that stand out above all for their cultural and historical heritage. These towns include Sagunto, Bocairent, Morella, Xátiva, Culla and Vilafamés.
