The 4-star campsite is located in Herpelmont, in the Vosges, 18 km from Gerardmer at the edge of a private lake of 5 hectares ! Here we breathe nature, we live nature!
A setting of great beauty.
The campsite has 120 pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes, as well as 20 mobile homes and 7 equipped tents in a 12-hectare park. It also offers accommodation adapted for people with reduced mobility.
We love its spacious locations under the trees, by the river or by the lake, they offer an ideal setting for family vacation, as a couple or with friends.
There is a special atmosphere in this campsite: here you can really disconnect, recharge your batteries, unwind and breathe the pure air of the Vosges! The landscapes are beautiful, the setting is peaceful and bucolic... a unique place where you immediately feel like you are on holiday.

Activities for the whole family.
Within the campsite you can do a multitude of activities: swimming, fishing, canoeing, paddle boarding, hiking, mountain biking, etc. You can also enjoy the sandy beach on the edge of the lake and relax in the shade of a parasol, on a deckchair...
One of the other strong points of this area is undoubtedly, the bar-restaurant with a breathtaking view of the lake from where you can observe the ballet of moorhens and ducks while savoring the delicious dishes offered by the restaurant of the Domaine des Messires.

Here, the entire campsite staff takes great care of its holidaymakers and does everything possible to offer them a most enjoyable stay. The reception is also open non-stop, all day in summer.
For kids.
Holidays are also an opportunity to exercise! Domaine des Messires, activities are not lacking. Children can have fun on the playground and take part in the creative workshops organised by our activity leaders. Older children can play many sports: football, volleyball, table tennis, table football, etc. The lake is also an ideal playground for swimming, paddle boarding and canoeing enthusiasts. The campsite is fully fenced and supervised, it is a secure environment so that children can play in complete freedom.
The living room is the beating heart of the campsite! A friendly space where young and old meet to play board games, read, or take part in the many activities organized by our team in high season. And to stay connected, free Wi-Fi is available near the main building.
Le Domaine des Messires, it is also a paradise for sports enthusiasts! Whether you prefer relaxation or adrenaline, you will find what you are looking for. After a refreshing swim, let off steam on the sports fields, go on an adventure on a mountain bike or relax with a game of pétanque. The campsite provides you with all the equipment you need to practice your favorite activities: ping-pong rackets, boules, mountain bikes (for hire).

THE REGION
From your 4 star campsite « Le Domaine des Messires » in the small village of Herpelmont thanks to its location, in the heart of a preserved region, you will be able to discover all the riches of nature and heritage as you wish.
A multitude of possibilities are offered to discover the natural reserve of the "Parc Naturel Régional des Ballons des Vosges", of 3000m2, a true paradise for lovers of nature and history which is full of hidden treasures, hiking trails, valleys, waterfalls, lakes and forests.
The road network is easily accessible and will allow you to reach the most remarkable sites such as The Ridge Route.
Thanks to the SNCF train station in the city of Heather (only 10 minutes from the campsite!) you can escape to Épinal, Saint-Dié-des-Vosges and Strasbourg to discover them.
The hiking trails.
The surrounding nature is full of hiking trails (7000km!) of valleys and immense forests, ideal for walks and hikes, on foot, by bike, electric bike, mountain bike, horse!
In the oak, beech and fir forests you can admire a variety of flora and fauna, and enjoy the calm of nature and breathe pure air!

Epinal, Prefecture of the Vosges and its living and dynamic heritage focused mainly on images.
L'Imagerie d'Épinal: Founded in 1796, it is still in business and offers innovative guided tours using Histopads. Visitors can discover the different stages of image making and admire the old machines.
The Museum of the Image
This museum houses an exceptional collection of popular images, highlighting the evolution of this artistic genre.
ESAL (École Supérieure d'Art de Lorraine): This renowned art school offers training focused on images and narration.
The Image Pole: brings together companies specializing in new image technologies.

The Imaginales:
This annual sound and light festival celebrates all forms of imaginary literature, with an important place given to images. Created in 2002, it now welcomes more than 45 people each year.
The remains of the castle, the English garden and the animal park are worth visiting. You will enjoy these green spaces, places of relaxation which overlook the old town and welcome young and old.
Épinal is a city with a rich heritage that is absolutely worth discovering because everyone will find something to satisfy their curiosity.
The ridge road created for strategic purposes during the First World War is panoramic and offers exceptional views of the surrounding valleys.
The blue line of the Vosges Between the Vosges and Alsace, the succession of balloons which culminate, for the highest, at 1423 m forms the famous blue line of the Vosges. This blue fog is said to be due to the terpene gas massed in micro droplets, expelled by the species of coniferous forests into the atmosphere.
It is also the symbol of the painful pages of our French history during the wars, notably that of 1870.
The thermal spas already known to the Romans with the beneficial hot waters of Bains-les-Bains, Plombières-les-Bains and the more recent famous Vittel and Contrexéville, all the resorts are renowned for treating digestive, rheumatic and urinary ailments, and have also been popular, for several decades, for slimming and well-being treatments.

Gerardmer “the pearl of the Vosges”
There are 14 of them! More or less known, more or less large, they will surprise you at the bend of a hiking trail that overlooks them, wild, quiet or equipped for swimming. They invite you not only to contemplation but also to nautical activities and fishing.
Black Lake, Green Lake, White Lake, Raven Lake, Longemer Lake, Forlet Lake or Trout Lake, the highest and largest "the pearl of the Vosges" Gérardmer Lake 115 hectares! Less than 30 minutes from your campsite! Swimming, pedal boating, windsurfing, canoeing and fishing, everything is possible in this enchanting place and, of course, the easy 6km walk on foot, by bike, scooter or horseback around the lake!
But there is more than just the lake...in Gérardmer! This town, both urban and mountainous, with its dynamic tourism is very attractive and offers many activities and curiosities whatever the season.
